The truck stop at Carl’s Corner needed a boost and Willie decided that biodiesel was just the ticket. The test run of the renewable fuel was so successful that the biodiesel plant was built right next door and the truck stop renovated to reopen this year as Willie’s Place. A model of community-based sustainability, PB Texas processes used cooking oil and locally grown raw cottonseed oil into the highest quality biodiesel. The partnership that developed the plant includes mostly Texas-based folks, with a few from Hawaii and other states."
