Terrorists attacks are waaay down (Colin Powell and Cheny told me so), America will never again be attacked (well, we haven't been attacked since 9/11, have we ? - but again we haven't arrested a soul or stopped a single organized effort)...
Terroists will be nuetralized (or was that, Terrorists will never be stopped - which is it Mr. Bush?) ...
We will be out of Iraq within 6 months of "Mission Accomplished" (so said Cheny for the whole nation to savor)....
and remember Mr Bush's promise to Congress and the American people as he argued for the authority to go counter to the will of the UN and World Opinion and invade Iraq - We will not enter a war without an strategic "exit plan" .....
uh, Mr President, we've been there for over 1,000 casualities, and Sadam has been gone for a long time - what's the exit plan, Sir ? ... ooh, free elections with a Repulican oilman as President...long wait
And look at how the most powerful military in the world is struggling to maintain any control whatsoever over the poverty-stricken, Third-Rate, Third-World power (thanks to Bush Sr's war and subsequent embargos) capital city of Bagdad- the Capital we we "shocked and awed" back into the 17th century.
And yet this Administration, so hell-bent on proving to the American people and the world they were justified in invading Iraq, have nothing at all to shop for their efforts - no weapons, no missiles, no nukes, no tools to make nukes, no nasty bio-stuff, nothing that the UN inspectors didn't already tell us about...
And what about the promised deliverables - still no democracy and no hope of EVER seeing a democratic govt. set there, no oil revenue to offset war costs (hello,Mr Bush, see that deficit reaching deep into the US Economy)..
Was this all worth toppling Sadam ?
Not in the World's opinion - just ask the Russian families of those children lost. As the families of those soldiers lost in battle - they still haven't been given a reason for why their son/daughter/husband/wife died - to protect the US - we were never threatened by Sadam or Iraqis - and al Qaeda is still very much alive, well,multiplying and the US Govt. has not only NOT finished THAT mission, they haven't even gotten a good start on the Iraq mission ---- we are 5-10 years away from gaining any real "mission accomplished" in Iraq.
Just ask Mr. Bush himself - he has NO EXIT DATE because he has no exit plan.
