Lets look at the actual facts we have as they relate to drilling.

1. Addax told us they would be drilling the Kina prospect in August 09.

2. ERHC told us on June 9, 2009:

"First, drilling is very close – possibly less than six weeks away – in JDZ Block 2 in which ERHC holds a 22 percent interest. As previously disclosed, the JDA has approved the Bomu-1 Prospect as the first drilling location in Block 2. Based on the latest schedule, Sinopec might spud the well as early as July.

Addax is the operator of JDZ Block 4 in which ERHC holds a 19.5 percent interest. Addax currently plans to use the Deepwater Pathfinder to drill three wells in Block 4, starting with the Kina-1 Prospect. The second and third drilling locations will be determined based upon the Kina-1 exploration results. Addax expects to take possession of the Deepwater Pathfinder early in the third quarter, possibly as early as July."

To my knowlege the above quotes are the only Addax/ERHC/Sinopec/Anadarko "inks" as to when drilling will begin.


That said....you made this comment: "Oilphant should be banned if Mark's info from JDA is true. Mark's source has proven credibility and I believe it to be true"


Based on the above facts...it is July now. Addax has told us that Sinopec will likely tite hole their well. Does this mean they'll begin drilling it without giving notice? I honestly don't know but it is very early to talk about banning posters based on the "facts" we've been given.


I fully believe Markgovols posts exactly what he's been told via his JDA and other sources. He futher posts for everyone to do their own DD. How accurate has his JDA source been? Here are a few recent excerpts:

"Just had lengthy discussion with JDA Source.

July drilling is happening. Nothing has changed.

Sinopec is drilling Block 2 FIRST week of JULY. The rig Sinopec is using will be in JDZ in about 2-3 weeks. Sinopec will issue PR about a week or 2 before drilling starts he said.

Addax will start drilling in 2nd week July. Worst case 3rd week of July he said.

I told him I had heard thru a source (spec29) that drilling might not start until late 3rd quarter. He said No. Not the case. Not an option. He made a point by saying "everyone is geared up and excited." He also said this week the JDA staff that will be visiting the rigs are going thru "survival training exercises and other training." Drilling is imminent and they would not be taking all these measures if it wasn't.

Also, lastly I asked him why JDA Chairman Jorge Santos said June drilling versus July drilling and he said June is when rig(s) expected to arrive. Rigs arrive, set-up, then DRILL."

"Spoke with my JDA source. The JDA is sending represenatives to inspect the Sedco rig on Monday. This is a formality that happens before rig is deployed. Was told the Sedco rig will arrive in JDZ Block 2 Aug. 1-2 (Next Saturday-Sunday). The Pathfinder a week or so after. Was assured 100% certain drilling occurs August.

Also, it is Required that the Operators PR once the Sedco and Pathfinder rigs have been deployed."

So there you have it. Marks JDA source confirming re-confirming and then changing precious confirmations. The first confirmations of July drilling match that of ERHC's comments in their last presentation.

I honestly don't know what to believe in terms of when drilling will get underway.

I will point out however...that anyone with a financial interest in ERHC should go back and review Markgovols posts for the last couple of months. He paints a much bigger picture than even drilling and this picture is supported by ERHC's actions/inactions and, IMHO...has merit. I have no interest in going back and digging it up.....but its there and it would be beneficial for ya'll to go back for your own review.

Nobody that posts on these boards looks more forward to Marks updates than I. The information contained within is weighed (by me) and properly stored. Some of the information he's presented is Heavyweight.....and other (JDA) isn't quite in the same league.

Some of what Mark has posted (again, it would be beneficial for you to review) directly matches many of Oilphants predictions.
