"The design process begins approximately seven months prior to the collection being shown to potential buyers. The first few months are spent researching and gathering ideas and inspiration. These ideas are then sketched and sent to manufacturing facilities in India with various fabric swatches and trim details to serve as examples. These facilities take these directions and develop a sample line for INCA to approve. From there a full sample collection is produced and shown to buyers around the world. Once orders are obtained, production is commenced in various factories and over the following 45 to 90 days, the orders are completed and shipped to INCA. INCA performs its own quality control inspections and fills individual orders for shipping directly to each store that placed the order."

Thats why you would want to go wholesale first because you can make money before you produce the mass of goods, if you can manage to close $5 to $10 Million + in wholesale deals then you know you have $5 to $10 Million + coming were as with the ONLINE STORE you produce $5 worth of merchandise and sit on all that stock for months.

I think Stacy is running with the wholesale first so she can make a better deal for more items.

Lets say she was able to land $10 million in wholesale deals, she can now present these orders to an investor in order to purchase the material and manufacturing.

I'm not sure how it works in the garment industry, but in the commercial construction business you would make a deal, start the job without any money and have to wait 90 days after the job was complete to get paid.

If that is the same case with the Fashion industry then I would think that INCA will place their retail order with their wholesale order to get a better deal.

In other words order your wholesale because you can get a loan for it and include your retail because you can order both and get a better deal for more items.

I would have put more thought into this but I'm in the middle of a few things at the moment, I hope you can figure out WTH I was trying to say. LOL
