The Ignore feature as practiced at SI and RB would not be much of an asset here at IH. However, the User Specific Block I've proposed would prevent flame wars between certain individuals from springing up anywhere on the site.
As a refresher; USB blocks an individual from seeing or posting to another individual and prevents that individual from seeing or posting to the one engaging the USB.
In your case you would not be able to see or post to JM and he would not be able to see or post to you.
At the present time (TMK) IH management is considering making USB available as an Admin tool to deal with situations like yours and JM's.
IMO, this would be an excellent test case for the use and effectiveness of USB.
Perhaps if more IH members will "bend management's arm" about this, incidents like yesterday can become a thing of the past at IH.
