We took the train from Paris to Geneva and stayed the day, then drove from there. The rental car I used was autoeurope and is a 10 minute walk from the train station...best rates I could find and got upgraded for free to an a4 with gps. very nice. We then drove 2 1/2 hrs to interlaken. I returned and my son stayed an extra day and continued on to Italy for his intership.
