The other 60% of the country's faith? Only 40% of the country identify themselves as Christian? I think not.
If your side had your way, there would be no God. People would be forced to worship at home in the dark. There's really not a whole lot of separation between the Democrats and Communism. God is consistently taken out of classrooms, out of community groups, and even some attempts to remove God from groups that were originally formed around a Christian doctrine (Boy Scouts), all in the name of "separation of church and state." At the same time, teen pregnancy, drug and alcohol abuse, single parent households, etc. are on the rise, and you can't see a correlation? And even if there is, it doesn't matter in your book, because not having morality legislated is much better than having kids that grow up in a healthy, stimulating environment.
The only one discriminated against these days is the parent who wants to raise their children in a Christian household with sound moral principles like respecting others, no sex before marriage (abstinence), and belief in God. These are the people who are consistently forced to swallow your little pill of open-mindedness and separation of church and state, as they send their kids to the vultures everyday at every public school in this country.
