Well your right, he did catch heat for it. Even though I didn't like to see him go and they way it happened, you have to respect a player in that way for doing that. When Jerome Bettis was with the Steelers in the prime of his career the Steelers had offered a couple of million a year less than the Redskins and a lower signing bonus than the Redskins. He turned down the Redskins and said I am happy being a Steeler and want to retire a Steeler. Not alot of players would give up a couple of million a year plus a larger signing bonus.
