I agree with you that JPM will have to pay big time. JPM is on the FED board, it will take more than WAMU and Lehman to take them down.

They will settle but no one should expect them to lay down the cash without a fight. They will pay back the TARP cash and be free to complete any acquisitions.

They need to get the government out of the way but they don't have enough liquidity. IMO we should be looking at a stock swap and start paying the liabilities as they come due.

The FED will step in for JPM worst case and Obama will not let such a major case go to jury trial. Think about criminal prosecution of FDIC, Paulson, Dimon, OTS, SEC (Naked Shorting) and other involved being dragged before a jury trial.

The Judge just has to give us the $4B back and allow discovery and Geithner will have to shutdown this mess and call JPM to settle immediately.
