Dear Chowder,

This will be really big for Wave in that hardware FDE & SSD's will start to replace last years inferior software FDE's in most of the future government buys. In a couple of weeks, vendors will start to bid on gov't contracts involving these new opal compliant drives & it should be fun to see HP & other OEM's scamper & sweat because unlike Dell & Acer, they were all pretty late to the game!! However, all OEM's will eventually have to join the Dell & Acer party & that will bode well for the totally agnostic Wave. Moreover, unlike TPM's,that were mandated by the Army but have still not been activated(thus not centrally managed), all FDE & SSD drives will have to be centrally managed from the get go for obvious reasons! Machine to machine authentication(NAC) is now more important then ever with the DOD & TPM activation & central management will go hand & hand with ERAS that will be deployed with the purchase of the new Opal compliant FDE/SSD drives.
