View Additional ProfilesWOODSTOCK, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Juhl Wind Inc. (OTCBB: JUHL), the Leader in Community Wind Power, today announced that it recently entered into a feasibility study agreement with a group of local owners to study and develop an estimated 5.4 megawatt Community Wind farm in Jackson County, Minnesota. The project incorporates 7 local farmer owner/partners and is located approximately 5 miles southeast of Windom, Minnesota.

"This agreement with Delafield is yet another new project with a group of great local farmer owners that are mobilized to put together a solid wind farm project," stated Dan Juhl, CEO of Juhl Wind. "The Delafield project is the second new project we recently entered that we have been developing in Minnesota and other portions of the Midwest. While we will continue to develop medium sized wind farms in the 10 to 40 megawatt range, we have been focusing on these types of smaller projects in order to accelerate the development timeline and transmission interconnection process."

"Delafield is yet again, very representative of the types of projects we have been adding to our pipeline recently," continued Juhl. "We are confident that Juhl has the right model to manage smaller wind farm projects in a very efficient manner. Clearly, a handful of smaller projects add up to ongoing growth for our company and more importantly, getting projects built for our local farmer partners."

"The feasibility study agreement is the first phase of any wind project we develop," added Dan Juhl. "While there are a handful of steps in any development process, we only take on feasibility studies if we are confident that the key elements exist for a successful project."
