Washington Mutual Dir Lillis Resigns >WAMUQ

Washington Mutual Inc. (WAMUQ) said Tuesday that Director Charles M. Lillis has resigned, effective immediately.

The company said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that the resignation is not the result of a disagreement with the company on any matter relating to the company's operations, policies or practices.

No further information was provided on the resignation.

Washington Mutual Inc. sought Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection after the thrift was seized by regulators and was sold to JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) in late September.
