Petz, I know I'm nitpicking here, but my electric rates here in SoCal are $0.14 per kWh. Plus it's pretty crazy to assume that Athlon will always consume 68W less than Prescott.

But thanks for doing the math. If anything, that ought to get more people to use the system standby mode more often ... unless of course they're running file-sharing networks, in which case the money they're paying in electricity is more than made up for by all the free stuff they're downloading ... <G>
