"is there a way to tell how many shorts are really out there?"

I don't have a way to tell how many are really out there.

Shortsqueeze has had the same 50 whatever million # posted forever, ETrade and ScottTrade both show the same info, but who knows how many WAMUQ shorts are out there?

Plus, you throw in the naked-shorts, and it is impossible to get an exact number , let alone a link that "proves" how many are out there.
