no doubt, in some sense you are too kind, the problem is that
these people see this as a "gamble", let me explain:

first of all, they have a duplicitous attitude about the
patent, they tell everyone how great it is that they will
monitize it, get license deals, develope the technology etc.
((granted leon said such and did follow through etc, granted
turrini never stopped working on getting licensing agreements
and imho drago et al used his "sweat equity" (read dialing
the phone, which he has admitted he's good at--quack) to put
the KABASH ON EVERY DEAL CALYPSO EVER HAD so that the company
would be weak, and hence easily controled and looted))

secondly, the flip side to this duplicity (drago's
interference asside) is that despite all of their smoke and
mirror ramblings to the contrary they have done virtually
nothing since leon left the company (save again for Valenti
and Turrini's efforts which have always been thwarted imho by
drago and now dewine)

basically imho dewine, williams kherkher, and drago/sears/williamson
all want to hedge their bets and put nothing but the minimal
effort since they "dont know if the patent is good yet"

all mega-licensing companies have taken the opposite approach
for example rambus and qualcom--these companies are examples
of good management that knew just as little about the quality
of their patent whether they were good etc yet they both
ignored any negative ongoing efforts from competition and
infringers etc and continued to march forward and execute
their business plan in effect they said "dam the torpedo's!"
and the rest is history.

patriot scientific on the other hand is run by scums (which
is supposed to be changing) like we have to deal w/ here at
clyw). these are seat-warming scuzzballs that sit around and
keep a running consensus to develop a plan for how they can
manipulate their core shareholder base.

its a pathetic situation that has to change, these people are
those that were discussed in the movie the boiler room: quick
in quick out no true innovation only hijacking a good idea
and a patent that they intend on destryong so that they can
get their "quickie" all the while of course manipulating
shareholder ignorance so that when the final "rabit" is pulled
out of the hat they look like heros when really they are
criminals and neer do wells of the highest order calling them
clowns disguises the nefariousness of their true nature

all jmho
