Well, I work in Russia and know there are several obstacles.. first with Customs. And trust me, they dont let ANYTHING through without a greased palm. I sent in Christmas presents (suitcase full) and customs wanted me to pay (them) 6,000 Rubbles (about $200) for Christmas gifts.....after (just about kicking his A$$, I convinced him the moral thing to do was to let it go...

Second are "GOST and SNiPs" which the Authorities control, and they are the third largest mafia in Russia. If ANYTHING is to be introduced in terms of technology, the documentation has to be correct. If this technology is to be "approved" it will take more grease!

Last is the mafia itself. These guys play ball the old fashioned way, come in and hand you an overseas account number for you to make a deposit.....for their "insurance" and protection. They expect their cut each month, or the first two above will be paying you a visit.

This is the real deal in Russia folks. If you expect to business there, be prepared for a lube job! I see this all the time...
