I read it differently.

Saying that both parties AGREED to the delay is not the same as saying the delay was jointly REQUESTED.

The most likely thing is simple logistics on the part of the court. Or something as simple as professional courtesy--one of the lawyers or the judge having something important in their personal life they would prefer not to have compromised by being in court.

If one of the parties requested a delay, it is very likely the other might protest behind closed doors but would ultimately agree if that is how the judge was leaning--don't want to be viewed as obstructionist.

If I could afford to buy all of them, I would not need to buy any of them and I sure wouldn't be spending time on the message boards!
