Matrix, I don't think that we are talking a stock dividend in the case of those that have been announced. They're dividends, and yes they're shares of stock, but NOT what I would define as a "stock dividend". A stock dividend is a distribution of one's own shares of stock. A distribution of another company's stock cannot be construed to be the same thing. The stock of another is more akin to a cash dividend in that it has no dilutive features of a true stock dividend where more shares are issued pro rata to existing shareholders. RFL
