Nocona has already launched, and has been selling in workstation platforms for some time now, so EM64T obviously works, and it can obviously be enabled on the desktop whenever Intel wants it to be.

Not exactly. All the Prescotts on the store shelves are and will forever be 32 bit, and will never have NX.

If you want 64 bit and NX now, Prescott is not the answer, only Athlon64 is.
