I would agree that it makes them credible... in that if they said they would be paying another dividend, I would believe they would pay it. Just because they can give out a dividend does not prove that they are a real company with existing operations.

I'm not saying they are not real. I think this is getting dragged on further than it needs to be... all I am saying is that a dividend does not prove they are real. It does not legitimize the company. It definitely helps the credibility of the company's dividend paying ability.
