Well suppose you wanted to sell 40B shares. You call up Jeff and say okay sell 40B shares. You can put in a market order or you can put in a limit order. But let's assume you just put in a market order.

Now this is out of your hands. You are selling shares. So what do you do? You start making as much noise as possible. Partially you may be trying to pump the price but really you need the volume.

Heck you are probably not even breaking the law. You can claim on the day you told Jeff to sell the shares you had no idea what would happen. You just take the average. You don't have to be greedy. Two years from now you can just do the whole thing again.
