I just found this on the Christian Traders website...
"I just called Ameritrade and spoke to one of their reps. She put me on hold for a long while, and afterwards told me "we can't guarantee that the MM's are not short selling the stock", and that they WILL NOT cover me if the stocks were non-existent when I decide to sell. Even if I ordered the stock certificates and held them as a paper position, "it doesn't guarantee" that I could sell them, so it would make no difference whatsoever. This is obviously very disturbing, and leaves me and all of us using Ameritrade with absolutely no way out if the MM's have short sold. What can we do??"
Has anyone else heard anything different from Ameritrade? This kind of causes me to worry a little...
