just as an aside thing, which may play bigtime into posturing here by the government. what part if any, did geithner play in the wamu demise? i realize what his position was at the time, as head of the n.y. fed., but did his inaction also perhaps contribute to our demise? he is in pretty deep doodoo with aig at the moment, so, maybe a way to cool things down for the administration would be to have his head on a platter with an apple in it.
