Another observation, more or less interesting...
So, Wave Systems, technically, COULD have joined the ARM Connected Community at ANY TIME... and for FREE. In fact, if a company is a LICENSOR of ARM technology--and Wave Systems did that long ago--that company can join the ARM Connected Community ONLINE... with just a couple of clicks and filling out a form.
Yep. It's that easy.
Here's the question: Why has Wave chosen to join that community NOW and make a PR out of it?
Again, any company can join for FREE (online) if they have already licensed ARM technology. Wave did that years ago.
Are we heading toward Texas Instruments... or some other kind of deal...? Or is this just a matter of a "checkbox" item that Wave wanted to take care of now? Or was this the necessary precondition PR that would, in the normal course, happen BEFORE some other kind of ARM/Wave relationship will be announced?
