BBOTC:
I have no reason in the world to assume that there could not be aliens who have visited our planet. Obviously, there is the pesky little problem of distance - that being the closest star (much less solar system with planets that could support life) is 4 LIGHT YEARS away! Since light travels 8 times around the earth in a single second, 4 light years is a bazillion miles. Nevertheless, it's possible there is some technology that could allow for it.
HOWEVER... "landing strips"?
Let me see if I have this straight. Aliens can travel from hundreds or thousands of LIGHT YEARS to earth. They can navigate the galaxies. They can roam the universe. But, when they get down to the planet, they need to have "landing strips". Oh, and apparently, they can't hover and land. They have to slide to a stop. Boy, I sure hope those landing strips were long enough!
