Circuit City Stores Inc. (CCTYQ) reported Monday net income of $382.5 million for January.

In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the bankrupt electronics retailer reported $682.7 million in net sales for the month.

Richmond, Va.-based Circuit City filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in November and announced in January that it would liquidate its U.S. assets.
