it may just be something simpler like the future projected profit of the company in relationship to the number of outstanding shares will look better after the R/S

Good point. And I think you're exactly right. It may be the only way to meet expectations (if there are any). A little smoke and mirrors never hurt anybody..... Well.... Maybe the smoke.... lol!
