Couldn't understand your negative sentiment for this new
Line from the New-AMD.

There's an element of risk to it on the K7 side. Performance wise they will be give and take with Celeron D. Is that enough to overcome the Intel brandname ? I have my doubts. It's fine if 1.5 to 2 Ghz 256Kb specifications will increase the yields substantially on K7 and then price can be cut lower but otherwise it's a gamble imo. The Celeron D is a very serious threat much more so than its bigger Prescott brother. The first Celeron with cache did a lot of damage too to AMD with its cutprice performance and excellent o/c abilities. Now's not the time to be lowering the defences and softening the PR ratings. K8 Sempron is more than upto the task (as is XP), let's produce bucketloads of them I say as it will also increase the potential 64bit base if AMD's version is superior to Intels as expected. I also sincerely hope I am wrong on this one btw.
