Again, I only want to point to the overall cost direction. An
"ONLY-K8" strategie makes in the near future no sense.
Just look at the package costs for AMD - K8 vs. K7 with
testing ...
2nd. - just look at the board prices - K8 vs. K7. The spread
will tend to reach sometime in the future parity, but that
will not happen in 2005. Low Cost K7 vs. Low Cost K8 have
now a spread of over 30€, tend to be more a 30-50€ thing.
Keep further in mind, that the K8 boards are relativly
keen on "good" DRAM's, so you couldn't place cheap OEM
stuff on it, just like K7.
Then keep in mind, for what the Sempron is introduced -
right, LOW-COST Systems.

Couldn't understand your negative sentiment for this new
Line from the New-AMD.
