Qarel, I didn't mean to suggest that AIM is a bad strategy, just that there are some similarities between AIM and the martingale betting strategy. Just as there are between investing and gambling. When you buy shares of a stock, you can't know with certainty whether you are buying an Enron or an Microsoft. AIM can't prevent ruin if you choose to invest all of your money in a future Enron.

If you read through posts on this board, you will see that many are making money with AIM. Their investing is not truly 'automatic' in that they still have to use judgement and common sense in deciding what to feed their AIM money machines.
