Gene Barduson is an industry expert who has spent over 30 years in information technology. Gene started his career with IBM, spent several years in the CAD/CAM industry, and then moved to an executive position with Shared Medical Systems Inc. (SMS), now part of Siemens, AG. After SMS, Gene was recruited to the position of president and CEO of EDiX Corp.. He led that company to be the leading technology-based medical transcription company in the country. When EDiX was subsequently purchased by IDX, Gene stayed on and guided the company to over $100 million in revenues. Most recently, Gene served as chairman and CEO of Apexion Technologies Inc., a start-up technology company providing healthcare supply and surgical instrument tracking applications that was recently acquired by Lawson Software.
