Join TCG for “Turning on the Trust,” A Full-Day Educational Workshop for the Developer and End-User Communities!

The Trusted Computing Group invites you and your customers to attend the TCG educational workshop, "Turning on the Trust: A Developer and End-User Lab to Enable Higher Security for Clients, Networks and Storage Devices”, April 20, 2009 from 9:00am – 12:00pm and 1:00pm – 4:00pm. The workshop is part of the RSA 2009 pre-conference program in the Orange Rooms 130 – 133, Moscone Convention Center, San Francisco, California.

Experience first hand:

How to set up and manage Trusted Platform Modules, available in most enterprise PCs

·
Client server management of trusted systems

·
How to set up authentication

·
How to set up secure email and password management

·
How to set up a secure wireless network w/trusted devices

·
How to use network access control to ID who is on the network, protect against malware and ensure systems are in policy

·
How to protect data with widely available hardware and software tools

·
How to manage keys


9:00am – 12:00pm - Trusted Computing Developer Lab

This hands-on lab will provide developers with an overview of the Secure Storage, Trusted Platform Module Solutions, Trusted Network Connect, and explain in-depth how to develop applications/products that support the specifications. Presenters will address interoperability, development on multiple platforms and environments.

1:00pm – 4:00pm - Trusted Computing in the Real World, A Lab for IT

This lab session will tackle common challenges and obstacles to enabling the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) and applications; deploying encrypted storage in the enterprise, including key management and securing networks through standards-based network access control.

Attendees will walk away with a deployment plan, checklists and ideas on using these hardware-based technologies in their enterprises with existing infrastructure and how to enable the installed base of TCG security equipment that has already been acquired.

Booth # 2133 Activity

The TCG will continue the hands-on experience by showcasing a number of interactive demos in booth #2133 on the RSA Conference 2009 show floor during this event. TCG Member Companies participating in this event are Great Bay Software, Infineon Technologies AG, Juniper Networks, Lumeta Corporation, LSI Corporation, Seagate Technology and Wave Systems. Also, visit one of over 40 TCG members that will be exhibiting during the show to receive valuable information.
