Hey, ice is good... won't argue that. But from the perspective I posited to get this going, you're simply an employee. Sure, you do serve troops water and other duties (all of which are helpful out in that environment) but you're essentially a vestige of the State and get finances potentially footed by the taxpayer.
Is that the act of one who believes in the ideology as a means to defend one's own actions? No, it's merely one protecting their economic interest; an interest affording special tax exemptions and status. One could argue that your role pays you to prolong the associated complications; none too flattering.
So, not many will buy the ideological argument. But this is just an academic point.
