I got this off the company's website

Total authorized shares is......9 Billion


Total shares Issued and Outstanding.....................................3.875 Billion

I have a question.

What is the difference between authorized shares and O/S, issued shares?

Just by the nomenclature, I would say that the company is allowed to create/sell up to 9B shares but has only optioned to put 3.8B on the market.
Am I on track with that assumption?

If so, 3.8 is much better than 9.
