I fully understand why anyone (Europeans, Japanese, Americans, Germans, etc.) would not want to buy into a stock if they thought the price would be driven down by flippers. However, threeflight makes a good point (ONE point from your post, don't let it go to your head) that they could buy up a huge portion of the float. In that case, IMO, the price would go up and stay up. There would be almost no one left to sell shares / flip, because longs would own most of the float.
