The penny stock scam artists I've known--and there've been a lot--have all been of the "flaunting" type.

With the possible exception of Dorian Reed of HITT. He wasn't into living the high life, and people who met him said he seemed to be a solid, serious businessman. But then he'd been caught so many times before that I guess he was keeping his head down.
