Zen & Boom - Brilliant indeed!
The Olympics is the quintessential event where what the audience really wants to see is all of a particular event.

Sprinters want to see sprinting, pole-vaulters want to see pole vaulting…

Spin wants to see the Herring toss

Greg wants to see the post hiding behind competition

Yaya wants to see the ouizo shot put, then the swimsuit competition

Snackman wants to see the enthusiasm of the crowd

Barge wants to know how they make that barge-like noise to start the races, and wants to know why they don’t make that noise during the entire competition

Rosie would probably like all of the equestrian events

sorry I don’t have more time to editorialize, I’m sure you get the point, and hopefully no offense is taken.

I don’t watch the Olympics much any more because the current format is just to get you to watch the commercials. I would gladly subscribe to $10/sport – 30 or 50 for the whole thing if I could control the playback and repeat those sections I was particularly interested in. The cache model is perfect for this – I wouldn’t get to watch it as it happens anyway because mummy unplugs the TV at 9
