OT - Trading desk idea. Over the last year I have been looking for more comfort when I trade. Since I spend many hours a day at my desk I wanted something very ergonomically friendly.
I thought about where I am most comfortable when I sit for long periods. Nothing beats quality bucket seats in a car. I then thought I would like to mimic that in a trading station. I found this. The body positioning looks perfect. But, it is not very practical. I call this the 'gizmo work station'. Notice the full support of the back. How the keyboard and mouse are right off the arm rest. How the foot rest takes pressure off the under side of your thigh.
Below is what I came up with. I have everything except the desk. The desk I used was a simple computer work desk that I modified. My son-in-law just bought the desk below. I love the wrap around so I have a place for me phone, my calculator, and a nice writing surface. I want that desk. I would modify that trading desk with the adjustable keyboard which puts the keyboard right off my adjustable arm rest on my chair.
about $2200. Many neat trading desk at this site. One would also want adjustable monitor supports.

3M Sit/Stand Adjustable Keyboard Tray AKT180LE. The adjustable keyboard and mouse tray put the keyboard right where it is most comfortable.

3M Ergonomic Mouse EM500GPS. I love this mouse. About two years ago I suffered some damage to me wrist. I can not use a regular mouse long without pain. I have no pain using this mouse ALL DAY.

3M Ergonomic Adjustable Footrest FR530CB. When you tilt your chair back pressure is put under your thigh, cutting off circulation. The foot rest takes that pressure off.

Anyway, just thought I would share my research. I found all the 3M items on ebay. After using this set-up now for a couple of months I have noticed that after long days I no longer have shoulder pain, wrist pain, or neck pain. Works for me.
