Berrygood, I used to live in Lubbock. If you do indeed win a trip to that dry hole, take along a book to read as it will definitely be the highlight of the trip!

We used to tell people that Lubbock was not the end of the world, but if you stood on your tiptoes, you could see it.

Trivia note: I attended the first Buddy Holly memorial concert held in Lubbock at which his wife attended; I was a reporter for a national newspaper at the time.

Trivia question: Who was the original back up band for Buddy Holly? (By the way, they played at the concert.)
