I just think optinmism is more enjoyable. Of course I am always a "realist" when I pull the trigger and spend my money except when I am dabbling for fun and have little capital on the line. I have no problem with discussing the pros and cons but if the cons outweigh the pros in my mind, then why bother? Too many other opportunities to waste time on things I don't like.

If we are referring to stocks with this discussion, I could list a number of them that I liked at one time but decided at some point that they had lost their luster in my eyes so I sold them and found others that I liked better. I take a longer view toward my investing than many people do so I use different criteria in my decisions than many others do. It is a matter of style and I don't criticize theirs just because it is different than mine. Mine isn't necessarily better.... it is just different.
