Jim

I listened again to the London presentation, and once again I am not trying to be controversial, but Merritt stated as I understood it that Apple and I believe Samsung presently are using the IDCC Infineon protocol stack and would produce additional revenues from Infineon on these sales. He also mentioned General Dynamics and modem I.P. as if that was being used presently. He also talked a lot about revenues will be derived from modem I.P. solutions. He named NXP as a chip company that I presume sells either ASICS or some type of product that will bear revenue for IDCC. He also mentioned Spredtrum in China he mentioned software solution and data centric.

He mentioned IDCC having apparently if I understood it correctly some chips of their own, but mostly they would provide I.P. solutions to chip manufactures who in turn would sell their chips but would still bring in some revenue to IDCC. He said as I understood it that IDCC didn't want to be competitors to the chip manufactures. He mentioned lap tops and P.C'S. I don't think I heard a single word about the slim chip, now is that a part of the solution he is talking about I don't know.
I am just trying to repeat the best I can as what I think he is saying. Can you or someone get a transcript and post it and then others can chirp in and give there opinion on what they think he is saying about revenues different from the existing licensed revenues?

Now why would Merritt mention this not once but on more than one occassion if it wasn't going to be expectations of revenues growing from these solutions? He seemed to portray that IDCC has product already in the modem area that is producing or will be producing revenues. He talked about revenues from data centric products though that being in the early stages. In today enviroment early stages become necesities in a matter of a short time.

Now I may be wrong but if IDCC should be getting .25 cents for a chip and if and I say if every phone had one in it and the projections of sales was accurate, wouldn't that be a significant amount of money? Lets just take Samsung alone and their projected 3G sales, and he mentioned them and Apple as apparently using the chips from Infineon now, correct me if I am wrong but the combination of just those 2 would make the bottom line look better for sure. What if the chip is worth .40 cents and Samsung sells a 100 million phones that had the chip would that be a decent chunk of money? If this side wasn't important, and I get hell for mentioning it, why don't you give Merritt hell for using it in his presentation, and furthermore why don't you as you did me challenge Merritt and tell him he is full of you know what and to quit misrepresenting to the public false information. Which is what you did to me, and I don't think I deserved it, but I could be wrong, as I may be totally out of my mind and a real big liar.

Jim can't you just treat me like a human being as I am entitled to a opinion? My opinions may not work out but they are hopefully based on information that I believe to be factual and heard from the company, just like I was dumb enough to believe the hold the $1.50 part, and somehow someway I hope Merritt and IDCC will be able to do what Merritt had suggested, but I don't know if they will or not, but if you take the per unit cost of Samsung and you if it turned out to be .40 cents for a chip and then maybe some modem I.P. or some other solution be it data centric or what, then Merritt may be spot on with his chart. Do you think Merritt is standing up before that audience and giving a unrealistic charictarization of future revenues, and as he stated with decling prices? For some stupid reason I believe the man. What is your reason for not believing him?

Just my honest opinion on this matter.

Mickey
