If IBM micro expires about the only choice left that I can think of is TSMC with all its deficiencies. The result is that AMD is left with nothing but second rate process technology that is even further behind Intel than its current one plus year lag.

I think the reality is that AMD will not survive in its current form and will expire well before the possible threat of an end for IBM Micro.
