The only way he could be a billionaire is if he finds diamonds. That was my point. He is not in position to make money off the shorting (if it as rampant as is suggested on this board) if can't sell his shares, which I believe was noted in a PR last fall. That means if the shorting is documented it will come down to a choice for him of he makes money, or the shareholders do. Just acknowledge the possibility that he could reverse split, issue more shares and sell them to the MMs. I'm not saying he will, but it is legally possible.
