It's going to take longer than a decade. We won't even see the first all electric car until 2012 and it will be expensive and limited in number. We need to replace the entire fleet. That will take many years, with the new electric cars having to present an irrestible choice for consumers to get them out of their beloved gas guzzlers!

Need infrastructure to support an all electric fleet. Lots of steps required. I agree that electric has many advantages and will become increasingly popular. Just not sure how long it will take.
