If the mm's in fact have a 1 trillion short position it could take some time for them to cover. The longer it takes the better for the longs. The short interest ratio is # of shares divided by average daily volume = number of days days for shorts to cover. Our recent daily volume is average 2.347 billion. My guess is if the mm's are presented with a share count or merger, they will have to cover quickly. I guess the average volume would spike to 15 to 20 billion per day. At 20 billion per day it would still take 50 days to cover. I beleive we are in the stock opportunity of the century. jmho
