I am sort of guessing, and you should probably check to verify the time frame. If Barclay's was going to pay for NOL's, then it would be about the same time they typically pay their taxes, ie the same time as last year. They would use enough of the NOL's to reduce their tax burden, and send the money to LSUK, LSRAF, or directly to trenwick depending on how the deal was set up. It might just fall into syndicate 839. The NOL's would be reduced by an amount about double the amount they pay. It would be based on their corporate tax rate.
