Hi Ken, Being that you had the cool web search bug, you probably have the old Microsoft java virtual machine software on your computer, check at windowsupdate. I know they have a fix for the windows XP java, not sure about the other OSes. If you don't find the fix, go to the sun web site and install the latest java program. Microsoft will no longer be supporting java, any more anyway.

About adware, install and run in this order, Spybot S&D, Ad-aware, cwshredder, and CWS.SmartKiller removal utility. By the time you get done you should be clean. Next you want to stay clean, in spybot S & D, Immunize, next run spywareblaster, he also has a program called spywareguard. That should do it for you.
