I keep hearing this but it does not make sense to me.

If shorts are covering that means they are buying. Buying pressure increases PPS rather than decreases, correct?

So how can one make the argument that PPS going down is a result of short positions having to cover?

Now, if you are suggesting that someone is shorting this stock today at these prices, I could see how that would drive the price down but I fail to see how the reward is worth the potential risk.
