barge - first, hopefully you keyed the post I'm responding to before you saw Bigtim's reply to me which I then turned around and italicized (Italianized(sp?)lol) to try to really emphasize the two different points. Actually I came away very happy with his response because I value his input and it seems very positive. Note that he didn't get into the "have to have a TPM or not angle, and I'm not going to now either", I have to fire off an email to a manager of mine and besides you seem to have that one covered.

Very narrow points;
1. Janus in all likelyhood doesn't use software that Wave wrote to be used with a TPM (or whatever the hardware chip was called in the early days)

2. Wave infrastructure software (Java classes?) (the generic stuff) is likely utilized/called/invoked by MS metering software.

On my second point above Bigtim seems less sure. I was in 100% agreement with his shorter post directed at me, but I go further in thinking that indeed Janus is utilizing Waves infrastructure software.

In short, I believe you and I are agreeing violently! lol
