If the other nations currencys are falling at a faster rate then the dollar then the exchange rate of the dollar vs other currencies wont fall and will actually increase but that doesnt mean that the dollar wont lose value. I cannot see any scenerio where the dollar does not lose value under this atmosphere.

Gold appears to be the peg as stated on this board by others.
